Irene McCormack Day began with the celebration of Mass, with the remainder of the day filled with festivities of food, colour, fun, generosity and music – many of the wonderful things that characterised Irene.

Staff, students and their families volunteered their time and donated equipment, funds, prizes and baked goods to raise an incredible $7,000. Of this, $5,000 was donated to the Archbishop’s charity, LifeLink, which supports welfare agencies in Perth, and $2,000 was given to Brother Ollie Pickett’s Wheelchairs for Kids under the banner of ‘Kids Helping Kids’.

Mr John Swindells, Dean of Campus said “Our College community is most able to celebrate ourselves when we look after one another and those in need. It really is a mobilisation of a community which relies on generous hearts and a sense of something worth celebrating”.
